It was nice to see the trials that Granuaile alluded to [b:Hammered|9595620|Hammered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #3)|Kevin Hearne|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1660271547l/9595620._SY75_.jpg|14482655], although I got the impression from that book that the actual event was much longer and more formal than described in this story. Nonetheless, it was an interesting, although sad, read.

This story is another short one, available on Hearne's website.
It's from Granuaile's point of view & it kind of sucks. She's helping remove some invasive species (crawdad, of all things) & waxes poetic about it. Blech. I don't know if it's because he's trying to write from a woman's perspective & that's how he thinks women actually think, or what. (Other reviewers have accused Hearne of sexism, & I can see their point)
Another point of order: you do not need to wear a friggin WETSUIT to hunt crawdads. Waders? Sure, I could see that. But not a wetsuit. *SIGH*
Meh, skip it unless you really get into the series & feel like you need to read everything. It's only 10 pages long.

Short story at the end of Hammered from Granuile's perspective. I'd love to have more from her in the future.

Needed a quick read so decided to get some of the series novellas out of the way. This is a short... Maybe 25 pages or so.
It is different because it is told in Granuaileās point of view, instead of Atticus. It is a story happening concurrently while Atticus is away at Asgard. It is pretty good but a little too fast and I would've liked to have more of Granuaile's take on everything. She is already "talking" to mother earth which is something I didn't know she could do.
Interesting and a good little addition to the Iron Druid universe.

I'm not sure I like Granuaile's voice as much as Atticus's, but this is still a good interlude story.

Great, but quick, story about G and her test from those who shall remain nameless as not to spoil. Loved the addition.
