Technically this isn't LDS fiction, but it follows the same basic rules: somewhat decent storytelling (admittedly tending toward dramatic plotlines … or is it just that my life is boring?) but squeaky-clean and fun to read. And basically impossible to put down.

this is such a beautiful story.
one of my favorites. however every book I've read by Mr Evans is fantastic. it's like some drama a romance, bad things happen but everything works out for the best type of store.
I ugly cried and I smiled throughout the whole book. this is one that I'll think about often.
5 out of 5 hands down.
So it starts with Macy. she's removed from her home and sent to live with an adopted family who treats her like crap.  she ends up running away and lives with Jo. and works with her at the hut. she meets this man and long story short she finds herself in love however her past keeps her from being fully committed. until she faces her issues head on. her boyfriend has a lot of family issues as well. however this is heartbreaking and also heartwarming. if you like Hallmark movies and feel good romance this is for you.

It's sappy and tugs at the heart strings, and it's predictable. But it's a quick Christmas feel-good read, and who couldn't use a bit of that?

Overly mushy and sentimental, but a decent read, not even close to the quality of Christmas Box

A beautiful and heartfelt story. I definitely enjoyed this one and it was an easy-read. The characters: Mark, Macy, Jo, etc. were believable and I loved how the story of each person was told and woven together. Beautiful.

This story is emotionally and psychologically compelling. The love between Macy and Mark is interesting, engaging and motivating. Grief is challenging. Macy and Mark have each other through tough times. Fate can go a long way, and change course at anytime. This story is a good example.

This was a great, feel good story. The writing was well done, the characters well rounded, and the back stories well done. The one thing I didn't like as much was the ending was a little too wrapped up neatly, but overall, it was very well done.
