The author spent all Book 1 showing how kicka$$ the FMC was just to make her a simp due to the bond haze in Book 2. Disappointing. She’s been able to temper her power all this time and she lives with her mates for a few months and the bond just becomes unbearable. There should’ve been a different transition to get her closer to her bonds, especially because the Draken brothers haven’t changed at all and don’t deserve it. I’m sure the author did this to show how strong the bond is but it’s forced. She’s also super dramatic and speaks to killing herself every other page.

Atlas gives me sneaky vibes because he’s too nice. Like he harbors no hate, at all? No hesitancy? Weird.

She was a little dramatic after finding out Gryphon’s gifts. She’s yet to divulge anything further about hers but I do see how she feels controlled and manipulated. Also, how can North read her mind? Or was she saying things out loud and didn’t know it.

We still don’t know that much about the bonds. How did William never find his bonds? Like don’t the markers go into a system or what?

I love Brutus! I also love how the Sage bond explanation was spun. The last 5% of the book was the best part. The action was really turned up and we finally got a few answers.

Again small inconsistencies. Atlas gave up his lease and moved into the mansion. But later in the book, he didn’t give it up, waiting until she’s sure. We are well into the end of the school year but we’re transferring classes? Ok. It was also made clear that Gryphon had jade eyes, yet in this book he has clear blue eyes.

I find that I am obsessed with these books and yet utterly annoyed by them. Part of them is because of a major development between Oli and her bonds and the other is Oli’s personality. She’s so presumptuous (although she does acknowledge that she may have done that about North) and just bitchy about things that if she took a moment to be logical and fair she wouldn’t be in these situations. I also hate that the relationships have changed the way they did. I love Gabe! He is my favorite with Atlas close behind. North actually developed higher up and then gryphon and Nox remaining at the bottom.
SpoilerThis is why I’m annoyed at the Gryphon bonding. I get that it was a situation out of either of their controls but seriously? It really should’ve been Atlas or Gabe first.

There were definitely funny moments and interesting plot developments. We’ll see where this goes from here.
Spoiler I better get my justice for Gabe and Atlas. Those two deserve it. They actually developed a relationship with Oli outside of “being bonded”. Like they’re legitimately her friends too.
