I remain unmoved by Cain's inner monologue, but there was more here that worked for me. The characters feel better-realized, the story feels more focused, and the magic is a little better explained. Still, these two books feel like setup to a better story as yet untold, and maybe that's the point. Killjoy's Cain books are love letters to a particular kind of punk, queer, and anarchist found family. The stories are, despite my misgivings, a joy for that alone.

Bu sefer neler döndüğünü anladım ama bu olanları sevdim demek değil tabii. Birinci kitaptan beri karakterlerin ölüm karşısındaki tepkilerini çok yapay, çok sönük buluyorum mesela. Şahsen ölü böcekle karşılaşınca daha canlı tepkiler veriyorum.
Ve evet ölüm konsept olarak bu kitapta çok farklı ama yine de ölü arkadaşını sana yardım etsin diye bir saatliğine canlandırmazsın yani. Etik deil cnm. Çok rahatsız edici buldum bunu yapmalarını, deus ex machina’nın da bir adabı vardır lütfeeen
