Another successful novel by Julia Quinn. Her writing is witty and sharp. Her characters are difficult. But what I come to her novels for is the BANTER. It's always such a fun time listening to the opposed love interests verbally battle each other. And of course, the tension. Who doesn't gobble that up?

Hate to say it, but I found the plot of the Netflix adaptation considerably more compelling than the source material--though the bones are here. Also the amount of half-joking "I'm going to kill you!" from Anthony became...distracting.

I have been looking forward to being back into the world of The Bridgertons. I thought we were going to he following more of Daphne & Simon but this one is set in the future and we get to meet Anthony Bridgerton and our main character Kate. This novel had all the fun and witty banter that I enjoyed in book 1. I loved getting to know more about the Bridgerton family. Getting a sneak peak into society life was awfully fun as well. I am super excited to continue on with this series.
