I read this book with my sisters as part of a book club to connect with our childhood and process our experiences and emotions together. The author provides a wonderful framework and language through which to explore the chaos of the relationship with our primary caregiver, and reflection and discussion questions to deepen one's own inner work.

Skimmed.
I don’t have many mother issues. But I appreciate the point that patriarchy creates mother wounds that manifest culturally and in our specific families. And that healing mother-daughter relationships advances the demise of patriarchy.

There's a lot to resonate with and many thought-provoking questions to reflect on. The author lost me towards the end as things started to feel repetitive and disengaging, especially when themes of spirituality started to overshadow practical guidance.
