So nostalgic for someone whose also gone to a school in England. I felt that the main character was really well fleshed out and I loved reading about his relationship with his family and the new friendships that were forming. I thought as a coming of age story it was really well done, from the parts of first-love to break downs of friendships.

I really enjoy David Nicholls writing style. It’s so beautiful and funny yet not cringey YA style. I found the characters very loveable and I followed the story well, I just felt the book was longer than it needed to be. The story line lacked lustre but never the less I still enjoyed it, taking me back to summer romances - very nostalgic!

Das Buch ist wirklich sehr ruhig und langsam. Eigentlich ist es kein YA-Buch, spielt aber die meiste Zeit in der Vergangenheit des Hauptcharakters. Es geht vor allem um die erste Jugendliebe, aber teilweise kam es mir so vor als käme der Autor nicht richtig zum Punkt. 
Ich habe es als Hörbuch gehört und es hat wirklich gedauert, bis ich mich zum Weiterhören aufraffen konnte.
