While the core thesis of the book is interesting, the content is extremely repetitive. Didn't even tell you how to recognize a dip vs a cul-de-sac vs a cliff. Skipped a few pages because it talks about the same thing over and over again.

Glad it's less than 100 pages, though!

Quick book. Simple remarkable point of view. Go for the best or quit. Yet another good one from Seth Gordon.

Feels like a lot of conjecture and a whiff of snake oil. How do you know beforehand what to quit? Godin says you can know that with certainty but I'm no fortune teller.
There's nothing here to identify if you're at a cliff, in a cul-de-sac, or in a dip you should quit. Good luck figuring that out.
To summarise the entire book, some things you should quit and others you should persevere with. Save your time and money, read something else.

Short version: Although poorly organized this book is short enough that it is still worth investing a few hours to read it. To have any effect on your life it will be up to the reader to spend the days or weeks contemplating and acting on any decisions made as an outcome.

The underlying message and guidance to evaluate the situation that is causing you to question persevering or quitting contains some wisdom. However, the way the book is organized and written is scattered and difficult to follow. Although I've never written a book I can agree with Seth Godin's assertion that writing a short book is tough. However, in this case he succeeded at shortening the content but could have organized it differently to more effectively communicate the theory and guidance.
