Filled with insights from a perspective rarely heard: a prison librarian. The library is a place where prisoners work on legal issues,  write stories,  research new career paths or simply read to pass the time. It is also a place where community is created and the author is educated about a world very different from Orthodox Jewish upbringing in Israel and the United States.  His experience brings the reader into a place most of us rarely think about: the intersection of incarceration and literacy.
