Not as good or exciting as the first book, but the series ended nicely and it was an enjoyable read save for some slow parts.

A book that emotionally bruises, punches, stabs and bloodies the senses. For sure, the first book is the strongest in this trilogy, but after being invested in the end of days scenario and having such a love-hate relationship with some characters while rooting for the survival of several species... well, it's a thrilling fantastical journey. I suppose the theme I love most is the strength and love of family, with all its flaws, and not just family in the biological sense. Bonds are everything in these books and they are truly heartfelt.

Not mind-blowing, but a literally terrific bloody end to this trilogy.

[dnf @ 28%] I'm not gonna finish this, this was a cool series but I lost interest in this book pretty quickly.

I have recently read all three books in the Penryn & the End of Days series and I have to say this is the very first trilogy that has angels in it that I have actually read. I have read stand-alone and first book in a series before but this is the first time I actually loved an angel series.

I love the writing and I got hooked from the very beginning of this series that I read it all one day without even noticing the time go by very fast. I just couldn't stop reading it because I just couldn't wait to see what would happen next .

I wonder if Angelfall was so good because it was self published and Susan Ee had complete control over the story and where she wanted it to go/ what tone she wanted/ how her characters interacted, etc. Or maybe it's just been so long since I read Angelfall that I'm putting it on a higher pedestal than it should have been on.

This book wasn't necessarily bad, but it didn't draw me in like I remember Angelfall doing. It was much more campy and silly. I didn't feel any real tension. The love story was distracting. I read it to finish out the series, but I don't think it was a strong finish.

Totally loved book 1, loved elements or book 2 but book 3 certainly did not disappoint.

I was a bit surprised by some of the criticism for the book but for me I found it very satisfying and romantic that Penryn and Raffe were able to find a peaceful and loving life together - albeit 'mundane'. For me that is very romantic...

Will write more later but I am so pleased that the author did not kill off either of the Weasley Twins :)

All the feels. Penryn is awesome. Her sister and mother are too. Raffe is cute.

I don't have words to say how much I liked this series.
