After applauding the relative lack of Three Pines residents in the last book, this one was so deeply focused on them, and yet I enjoyed it. This had real vibe of a cozy mystery, more than the others.

Oddly didn't like this book as much as everyone else. It was a bit too slow for me. Largely the plot progresses via conversations but very little action until the very end. I am glad I finished as I liked the ending and how everything falls into place. People said I didn't need to read the whole series to read this book but I feel I would have enjoyed it a lot more had I felt a closer connection to the town and the main characters

Felt very slow and was concentrating on the wrong descriptors. Characters hard to follow due to number of them

Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache series is so fun and each book is unique in it's storyline, but the Three Pines characters we know and love are still big parts of the story.  In Glass Houses, there appears on day on the town square a mysterious figure who it is later determined is a  Cobrador  - someone who will follow a person to create some public humiliation for some sin they have committed.  The mystery in this book surrounds this mysterious person.  It's well done and thought out, and the author's note at the end is great!  I listened to this, as I do most of this series, and there's also a little conversation between Louise Penny and the narrator which is fun as well.

Reading these stories is like visiting family you haven’t seen in a while. You wonder how they are, want to hear their stories, and bask in their love. This story was a little slow, but seeing another part of Ruth made it all with while.

This was a great book. I wish I was healthy while I was reading it (I had a bad sinus infection at the time). I think I missed some things in the book as a result of my head being fuzzy. However, overall a great book with a great theme with results to reverberate through the next books.
