Ugh. I liked Julia and Paul better when they weren't married. The first book probably should have had an epilogue instead of a sequel. Also, I probably shouldn't list this as read. I only read about half, and then I couldn't take the innuendo and bedroom scenes any longer. It's never explicit, but it's surely not what you'd expect from a book about Mormons. I get it, they're married. But I don't wanna be reminded on every page and in every conversation.

I was asked to review this for work. I was asked to review the first one in this series, Borrowed Light.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and will look forward to posting my official review for work, as well as just some more of my personal thoughts and opinions here and on my blog. So just wait a few days, and my review will be posted.

For right now, I'm tentatively assigning this 5 stars, but I keep going back and forth between 4 and 5, so that might change after I write my review. :)

A beautiful and enticing story. There is a slight religious bent that never hits you over the head. It’s subtle and it works. I so enjoy all of Ms Kelly’s work.

I loved this book as much as I did "Borrowed Light". "Enduring Light" is another wonderful historical book about life on a Wyoming ranch at the turn of the century. It was interesting to read about some of the details of day-to-day ranching life and I loved the faith and commitment of the two main characters. I also loved the overall message about endurance and turning our burdens over to the Lord.

This was an ok, what the endured ( :) ) all the troubles, and it had a happy ending! But I won't read it again, and it was only OK, not really entertaining.
