Just when you thought, the twist and turn, lies and secrets are done. Nope, you get more handed to you on a silver platter!! The Rune Thief is the second book in the Runed Series and just like the first the second one did not disappoint.

World Building 4/5 There is a lot of traveling throughout this story, descriptions were given of the places. The environments that they stayed the longest in you were given a more in-depth description. There were a few parts I wished that there was a little more descriptions so I could imagine it more.

Character Building 5/5 The emotional building of these characters is great. Both have gone through stuff in their past as we learned in book one, but their building continues in this book. Just the way it is written you can feel what each of the characters are going through.

Story-Plot 5/5 This is book two so are brought along for the ride to complete the prophecy. But it's not an easy task. The trial, scheming, enemies, and personal issues provide many twists and turns for them. I found myself as the reader wondering if they would be able to complete the task or did this really tear them apart and they won't be able to do it. Very Well Written!

Spice 4/5: We were definitely given more! The ones I was routing for ended up getting together and I loved it. Yes, it did take a while, however they had to grow individually first.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved following along with the story, and I could not put it down. I wanted to know what happened at every twist and turn. When C and V finally got together, I was so Happy, I loved the dynamic between them from first sight. But the ending really!!! I know you have to leave it so the readers come back for more but really I have so many more questions than answers!!! I also had to reread the last chapter like three times for it to really sink in that how you were ending the books. Highly recommend!!

"That was what I thought—in all of your beauty and danger, I was drawn to you."

I AM SCREAMING. Next. Book. Please.

Book two just takes you on the wildest ride and we got a little bit of spice. The ENDING. SCREAMING.

This book was even BETTER than the first, I don't even know how that is possible, it was SO GOOD.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: I absolutely loved this book. I need to own it and will 100% reread this book again. As soon as I finished, I just stared at the last page, like part of my actual soul was now taken by this book, or the book became a little sliver of my soul. I STILL think about it, and the emotional toll it took and the emotional ties I have to this story and the characters.

As anticipated, this story picks right up where the first left off, and there is just so much happening - not overwhelmingly so, but enrapturing. I never wanted to stop reading, I had to keep going. I had the “I need to read slower and savor this story but I also have to read as fast as possible to know what happens” dilemma. The plot is multi-faceted, leaving the MC’s with several hurdles, obstacles, to overcome, ON TOP of that sizzle growing between them. It was an honest, relatable, organic love story blooming between Varin and Cateline and I am here for it. The cliffhanger ending left me shook - I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t what happened, and my heart and soul were not ready for the realization I don’t have book 3 yet. CHAPTER 33 is

This one was significantly longer than book 1... And there were times it felt like it was dragging a bit. However, that love confession made up for it. These two lovers are so dedicated to each other.

I can't wait to see what book 3 has is store for them... I can only assume more trials, tribulations, and heartache. I'm here for it!

Im not sure I have the words to describe this book! Cateline continues on her adventures. But secrets are revealed that bring deceit, truths are turned to lies, and those that were trusted are now betrayers. It’s one twist and shock to another. This story is action packed and keeps you on your toes. Just when you think you have it figured out, BAM another shock. Beware of that cliffhanger. Book 3 cannot come fast enough!

The Rune Thief grabbed my attention from the get-go! I loved the action, the romance (😏), and alllll the plot twists! I never knew what was going to happen next.

The character development was great. I loved watching Cateline get to know herself and her power better, and I really grew to love her. And Varin too! He didn’t stick out to me in book one, but now I really care for him.

There were a few tiny grammar and spelling errors that would pull my attention out of the story, but not a big deal! I’m psyched to read book three and see what happens next!
