I absolutely loved this book. The perfect Christmas read. It was laugh out loud funny, fantastic characters, the family were hilarious. I would liken this to a big cosy hug in book form. I can see myself reading this again next Christmas. I'm going to check out the authors other books now.

Musím říct, že tato kniha mě skutečně překvapila. Ne snad příběhem, ten je skutečně až notoricky ohraný, ale tím, že autorka byla schopná dodat této knize takovou energii. Hlavní hrdinka dokáže být neskutečně vtipná a oplývá úžasným charakterem. A pokud vše dokreslí mladý zajíček od vedle, otravný ex-přítel, bláznivá rodina a ještě potrhlejší kamarádka se svým přítelem, nebudete se ani u klasického příběhu nudit. Už se moc těším na další knihy této autorky.

Jag läste denna bok för att den skulle utspela sig i Skottland, men jag läser nästan halva boken innan de faktiskt kommer dit. Det enda skotska som vi får ta del av är lite haggis och whiskydrickande. Det var en annan bok än vad jag hade tänkt mig, och stundvis var den riktigt löjlig.

This was a great romantic comedy. It was just the sort of story that that leaves you feeling great. I loved that the story has both a lot of humor and warmth but it also addressed some of the more difficult parts of life, that made the story really well balanced. This was my second time reading it and it was probably not my last.

4 sweet, I want more stars!!

Super cute book!!

I love the younger man/older woman, pretend boyfriend at Christmas storyline and thing that the author did a great job of tackling the age difference without beating me over the head with it. I really liked Emily and Evan together!!

However, when I finished I felt a little let down because the ending seemed sort of abrupt and left me wishing it had been drawn out more. I’m okay with time jumps but I NEED more details about what happened during the in-between. I’m nosey like that! I just wanted more time with Evan and Emily together, together BEFORE and AFTER the thing that separated them. I’m also greedy like that!

I would totally read more from this author.

I really enjoyed it, it was a fun, funny, family filled Christmas romantic comedy. It ticked all the boxes.

Highly recommended.
