Alexia's daughter Prudence (who still hates her name, and goes by Rue) is nothing like anyone's seen before. Technically her type may have existed previously, but not with her style, her daring, or her friends...

As expected there were plenty of delightful touches, from the dirigible's name to the frantic hoarding of milk to ensure tea can be served when required. Adventures roamed from London to India, with new creatures coming out of the woodwork.

My biggest complaint? Book 2 wasn't available from the library!

This book was very fun and entertaining, expanding the world of supernaturals.

The new cast is great! I love them all more than the characters from the first series. (Special mention for Footnote the cat – best name!)

The romance in this novel was more subtle, clever and modern than in the first series, so I’m interested to see where it will go.

Thank you for a lovely entertaining book. If @audible hadn't had their sale I wouldn't have known about this Historical Urban Fantasy that made me smile the whole way through. It was a book that was careful to never take itself too seriously while taking a great many things VERY seriously indeed.

While I can't say I enjoyed it as much as the original series, it was certainly entertaining enough with plenty of laughs.
