Toxic positivity is really dangerous and this work is a great example of that.

Upon a second reading of this book, I can't give it the 5 stars I gave it 4 years ago. Not because it is not good after all, but because my understanding has evolved around things of this nature. I will say Louise Hay was a pioneer in the mind/body field, but after more study and observation I do realize that she may be oversimplifying things a bit. However, her insistence on positive mental patterns and behaviors and getting to the root of negative emotions -- that is something we all can benefit from whether we have outer issues to resolve or not.
