I enjoyed this book and I will reread it but I should be clear about my expectations from it. I struggle with depression and rapid mood swings because I'm bipolar so I specifically order this as source of motivation. It now sits on my shelf with several other guides to creativity and productivity for the times when I am not my rational self. This is quite helpful because bipolar disorder is not particularly rational.
While I found the book to be motivating, I didn't learn anything that I hadn't read before, or that I hadn't already learned myself. I know that it's best to do the most important work first thing. I know it's important to track your habits. I know that email and the internet are time sucks. Most of the book was pretty self evident, but for the times when I can't get past the chemical block in my brain, this is well presented and clear in it's messages. On the average day I would rate this book a 3/5 but for times when I need to be reminded of what's in my best interest, I'd give this a 4.
One annoying point though is the huge emphasis on emails in this book. Who the hell checks their email every hour? Oh course that's a waste of time... In that respect I found the authors that harped on that topic to be obnoxious.

I don’t know that any of this will help me manage my day but it was interesting reading the habits, insights, and tricks of others

My expectations for this book were actually kind of low because I bought it as part of a BOGO audible sale. It turned out to be exactly what I needed to hear right now. The advice is so simple yet so profound. It inspired me to put aside the time I need to MAKE time to follow my dreams. It was the right kind of butt kicking to put my dreams into action.

I also appreciated the fact that for once it didn't take an all or nothing approach to social media. Yes, social media has bad sides as well as the good but we are in control of it. We aren't victims of information overload. We are guilty of information overconsumption. It's up to us to use the off switch. I also liked that it presented several points without trying to pretend to be a one size fits all kind of deal.

I'm glad I bought this because I will be listening to it again. Definitely recommend if you are looking for ways to buckle down and get moving on something, especially creative work.

This was a really good book I loved how there was bits by different authors and what works for them along with how they do things.

I didn’t like the stuff on meditation etc so just skipped though those bits but the rest was quite good.

A great read and tips along with inspirational quotes for creatives and multicreatives.
