Genevieve:
•the embodiment of a strong independent woman
•didn’t NEED a man but wanted one
•funny alone and during banter with MMC
•encouraged body positivity
•realistic & relatable
Jackson:
•a literal gentleman
•endless cute quotes from his POV
•great friend but even better lover to Genevieve
•thoughtful
•maybe a teensy but obnoxious at first
My notes:
•love that the way they run into each other is actually plausible!
•the banter between all characters in this book is OUT OF THIS WORLD
•do I detect an enemies to lovers sequel???
•when will they realize you can’t just “do it once and get it out of your system”
•so easy to lose myself in this book
•WTFFFF HE JUST REGARDED PLEASURING HER AS A FEAST!?!
•Jackson is EVERYTHING and these other book boyfriends need to take notes
•if they don’t get a happy ending…
•okay but, Jackson is giving Josh Chen vibes and I’m not mad about it

— ☆ Jackson Y Gen se vuelven a verse después de nueve años de haber terminado su noviazgo (muy doloroso por cierto) en un viaje que sus mejores amigos planean a Saint—Tropez ¿el problema? Al llegar a casa se encuentran que tendrán que compartir habitación.
— ☆ Jackson es un personaje lindo que ha vivido enamorado de Gen desde que tiene uso de razón, el encuentro de estos dos me hizo gritar... mientras más avanzamos en la historia y más se desarrolla estas interacciones entres los dos personajes nos damos cuenta que Jackson teme que Gen vuelva alejarse de el y hace todo lo posible para dejarla a ella tomar las decisiones.

— ☆ Mientras tanto vemos a Genevieve, una protagonista con la cual te puedes sentir indetificada.
El desarrollo que vemos en la historia me gustó, puedo decir que entendí las inseguridades que presentaba y la forma en que se sentía culpable por los acontecimientos de su vida, realmente no tengo nada negativo que decir de Gen que solo decir que es un amor.
"Son todas las personas que alguna vez me han importado y que inevitablemente se van de una forma u otra... y todo por mi culpa."
— ☆ El romance es realmente LENTO (me refiero a que por fin los dos pueden expresar el mismo sentimiento después de tantos altibajos) y tienes que esperar hasta los últimos capítulos para tu final feliz pero sin duda alguna me gustó como se fue desarrollando todo
— ☆ Los personajes secundarios fueron parte importante dentro del libro y sólo espero el siguiente libro de hanna y Liam.
"Te he amado desde que te conozco. Tú, una pequeña idiota molesta, de alguna manera llegaste a nuestras vidas en el momento exacto. Eras todo lo que siempre necesité en una amiga, en una compañera... aunque pasamos esos años separados, puedo decir sinceramente que siempre te animé desde la distancia, mi persona."

This was the perfect summer read. Gen and Jackson were perfect for each other and so cute. Nice love story. I really enjoyed this and it was a great debut. I can't wait to read the next one.

This book just wasn’t it for me. It felt rushed, not enough context given for the MC’s relationship that I’m still not entirely sure why she ended it. I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
