Honestly, the story had potential. It had me wondering who it could've possibly been but I feel that there were unnecessary points in the story. Sometimes it just seemed like fillers to add to the word count or give it a few extra pages.

Serial killing.

This is possibly my favourite book series. I never reread books but i have reread this one. The characters are unique and feel alive with reasonable motivations, but the plot is what gets me. It is fast and twisting, speeding up and slowing down at the right moments. The author has experience a paramedic so you KNOW that graphic scenes will be detailed, this man can get the grandeur of murder across. The romance is present but does not affect the plot, it can be removed and the story still holds.

I distinctively remember this scene
, sort of the endgame,
where one character was doing something time sensitive
,running from the Scotand Yard to the Royal Courts of Justice to save someone,
and it was written in a way that you could imagine playing out in real like
, if you open Google Maps and trace the route, it works
.

I picked this up at half price and am I willing to pay the rest if requested. Read it if you want something fast that would take you on a ride without getting to depressing and dreary. I was constantly exclaiming and laughing while reading this book. Don't read it for emtional narration or a huge central redemtion arc, read it for a fun time.

Also, it has your typical jaded male potagonist (quite a few squares on male potagonist bingo) but it was done so well I'll let it slide.
