Re-read for nostalgia. Cozy read overall, but jeez, if I had to listen one more about Morgan's insecurities and how everyone was so much prettier than her, and how god-like Cal looked and how real her feelings for this guy she only just met were, I was gonna throw my phone away (I listen to the audiobook). Also, I didn't remember their circle being so cult-ish, but then again, I was like twelve or thirteen when I read it the first time around so. Also, it finishes in a weird place (and very abruptly), and I cringed so bad at the ending.

This is a recommendation from Amy TRex (thanks, Amy!). Reminds me a bit of Vampire Diaries show (not the books - ugh) and the Vampire Academy books (VA books may be better/more in depth, but I disliked the first one and grew to love them by the end).

My biggest complaint is I wish it was longer/more in depth. Just as I started to get to know the characters - and there are a lot of them - it was over. It reads a bit like a Wiccan recruitment flyer, and older Lisa has been there/done that, but younger Lisa would likely have eaten it up with a spoon and gotten all witchy about it. :)

I may be hitting the rest....

I'm really into Cate's books. I really enjoy learning about Wicca along with her characters. And I'm super glad to read about girls learning to be strong and independent.

I'm not going to rate this because I'm not reading for quality, I'm reading for pure nostalgia ♡
