Pretty good book! I’m in college for Middle School English so I’ve been reading a couple middle level books for fun. This was a great one! Very inspiring for kids!

A story that's both heart-wrenching yet heartwarming about an immigrant girl who helps her parents run a motel while they deal with their horrible boss, poverty, and racism, but while also finding their communuty and friends around the motel.

Listened to this audiobook on drives with my nanny kids and the story was meaningful, well written, and well received by two rising 4th graders (and honestly engaging for me as well)!! Excited to listen to the rest of the series with them :)
