Honestly I enjoyed this thriller up until the end. I was engaged, thinking about it, wanting to know more. I thought some of the issues were dark and disturbing and that the author did a great job making you feel tense - but that ending! 🫣 I believe most people who enjoy thrillers will find this one entertaining, though I’d look up some content warnings.

It was fairly entertaining, but none of the characters were especially likable, so I didn't really care what happened to any of them.

This book is written incredibly well. It is not your typical thriller where it's contant action all the time. The way the story is played out was a very interesting take that is not used all the time. You get to the meat of the story at the beginning and work your way backwards through the past piecing the pieces together. You come to the 1st twist about half way through and get to watch that play out to bring you to the ending which I didn't see coming at all. These characters are not loveable in any sense. They are not going to capture your heart. But the realism of the relationships and choices of all the main character's grips you and keeps you wanting more in the most twisted way. A very well told story that is not your typical psyc thriller or smut filled thriller.

Twisty!! Didn’t see that one coming. Taken meets Jason Bourne. Heads up- Rated R.

I had a tough time with this book. I had to take some time to think before writing the review. I was maybe less than halfway through the book and I keep wondering why in the world the author wrote SO MUCH back story. Even now, very little was actually relevant to the current timeline. Way too much back story was given. I was thinking this would be more like the movie Taken but it took a lot of the anticipation out when the author went so in-depth with what had happened over the past 20 years. Kira’s part was cool though. And I didn’t love the ending but at least it was a surprise!
