I was given a copy of this book by The History Quill Book Club. I so enjoyed the book. My father was from Michigan and I had never heard this aspect. The book involves three sisters who have their roots centered around the Great Lakes. The three of them are so different in personalty and interests. They each have their own lives and daily routines. This is upended by the storm of 1913. You find out about their lives, the impact of this storm and their fortitude to keep going. Such a good book for learning and pleasure.
