I found this to be so flat & one dimensional.
I want to be caught up in the romance, nearly feel like its happening to me, not even be aware of how much is left in the book as opposed to looking down every few minutes to see how much is left.
I should have DNF'd but I am trying to give books a chance and not give up so easily.
Oh well, this obviously was just not for me.
I am in a bit of a book slump so that may have colored my opinion.

Four epilogues, Yay!

Loved this book, about lawyer Elle and MMA fighter Nico Hunter. Elle was having a friends with benefits thing with her lawyer friend William, but it wasn't working for her anymore. William brings Nico to Elle's office for a contract consult, and when their eyes meet, Cupid got his arrows in real hard for these two. Nico invited Elle to dinner which results in Elle breaking up with William and a relation starts. From the start, Nico was totally smitten and he wanted more than a one-night stand. Elle was mesmerized, aroused, enthralled. It was cute to read. I had several thoughts about Nico preying on his lawyer's girlfriend, and also some thoughts about conflict of interest between lawyer and client. But I loved where this plot was going, so didn't care.

The love story was straightforward and nice. Many steamy love scenes, which I skimmed. I got a feeling that some characters must have been introduced in an earlier book, because the book lacked some background in some characters, mainly Elle's mom's new marriage, the stepfather and her stepbrother. Even so, it was very enjoyable. Both Elle and Nico had some baggage which they needed to deal with. Nico had several moments where he closed up and closed Elle out. I liked that Elle would retreat instead of cling, and he would have to grovel as is right.

If I had to describe Nico, apart from hot, it would be as a gentle giant, because he was that devoted and attentive to Elle. I loved Elle's tardiness quirk, because for many years I was a late arrival at work too. This was an entertaining and enjoyable read, very much recommend.

Something about MMA books.. Just let's say are a must read for me ;). All the muscles, tattoos, hard bodies.. Whew yeah. Anyways.. Worth the fight was a great read. Nico was hot! Damaged enough you loved him, sweet and caring enough you loved him, the man would cook.. Simply put anyone would just love him. Elle was damaged herself. Not perfect, but perfect for Nico. The push and pull between them was believable and electric. Made me want to Elle...

One thing that did drive me a little nuts was reading over and over again how she would 'swell' or was swollen. A little different terminology use would have went a long way for me. Other then that, I couldn't put the book down. Best line for me was Nico's mute angel. Couldn't stop giggling at that!! :)

I was a little weary of this book when it was first recommended to me because the premise is a little played already. Hot alpha MMA fighter/bad boy gets with damaged/innocent good girl. But you know what, it totally worked here yet again. Maybe its because hot alpha MMA fighters are my weakness ;) but this story has some major heat. I love their sexual tension and the way Nico seems to look at her and that whole electrifying beginning of a relationship. When done well, as it is here, it gets me every time! The back story on each of their pasts is a little different than in other books and seems to work well here. Another great thing is that the epilogue seems to go on and on, which is awesome. I hate when the couple just gets together after tons of conflict, you get a quick HEA, and then The End. No, I want to see them happy for a while and want to know what happens to them. You get that here very nicely. So all in all, maybe not an earth shattering experience, but it grabs you, gets you hot, and makes you feel that invigorating new love feeling. What else can you ask for from a book?

I loved Nico Hunter. I'm not a fight fan and it was a different story line than I normally read but it was really great!!!

Nico is an MMA fighter but he hasn't fought in over a year. His last fight didn't ended well. When he tries to get out of a contract he goes to see Elle with his lawyer to see what they can do.

It just so happens that Elle was casually dating the other lawyer. Nico doesn't share and he wants to explore the chemistry. Elle knows what she has with the lawyer is safe, and what she should want but Nico leaves her feeling excited every time she sees him. Both have pasts that make them decide if it is worth the fight.

Great dynamics, great chemistry and believable character development. A great quick read. I didn't want to put this one down.
