I feel like this had the potential to be really good, but I found myself a bit bored. It was cute and it's always fun to read about magic, but there was just something missing.

Do I normally enjoy second chance romances? No, did I pick up this book purely because it felt right for a Halloween read? Yes. And did I enjoy it, um well maybe?
Rhys breaks Vivis heart after a summer together, and after drinking slightly too much, she decides to put a curse on Rhys, unfortunately it works, but she doesn't realise until Rhys makes a return to her small town years later.
I listened to part of this on audio and then switched to physical reading, I liked Vivi as a character and enjoyed following her progress as a witch. I liked Rhys as a character, but I don't feel that the past was ever properly talked through, so it made me not route for their new relationship.
A fun witchy read for October.

📖 Small town, second chance witchy rom-com
📖 Vivienne Jones had the biggest break up with vodka, baths and put a curse on her ex 9 years later Rhys penhallow (town founders descendant) returned to recharge the ley lines making an appearance! The two have to work together to save the town and their lives!
📖 deffo recommend if you love a witch small town Rom com! Perfect for the spooky comforting season and provides a warmth feeling! You can have a giggle, feel a lot of love and the development of the characters!

This is the perfect book that equal parts cute and Halloween. I enjoyed this the whole way through. It’s a very quick read, just a small amount of spice, but omg it’s fricken cute!! Not even just the romance, but the whole town, the witchy main character and her witchy family, and the Fall Fair?! Seriously, I want to live here. And the banter Vivi has with both Rhys and her cousin Gwyn is actually funny. There was definitely a few times I laughed out loud and a lot of times I was just smiling reading. Reading this book puts me in a good mood and is definitely one to reread.
