A short book of poems: sometimes funny, sometimes wonderful, and sometimes sad.

Someday when I'm a dog owner, I'll have to bump this up to five stars.

This was such a beautiful read. Took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and I would always relate it to my dog <3

I too have a dog named Percy and truly I cried through the entire section based on his life. I love my sweet silly son.

If you love dogs, you have to read this book. It is fun but also really pulls on your heartstrings.

My favorite part:
"And it is exceedingly short, his galloping life. Dogs die so soon. I have my stories on that grief, no doubt many of you do also. It is almost a failure of will, a failure of love, to let them grow old - or so it feels. We would do anything to keep them with us, and to keep them young. The one gift we cannot give."

The sweetest collection of poems I've ever read, and I hope to read again snuggled next to a sweet puppy. Just lovely and wonderful! It made me miss and love my dogs all the more.
