This wordless picture book is a retelling of little red riding hood, but with a cat wanting cake as opposed to a wolf wanting flesh. The woods are also replaced with Goosetown, a collection of all the fairy tales I one place. The illustrations are cute and I liked the look and find games at the back of the book,‘making this one to reread for some added fun.

Readers will love pouring through this wordless picture book identifying characters and some of their plot lines from fables and nursery rhymes as they watch Little Red bring a cake to Grandma while a hungry and cake-loving cat tries to outfox them!

Wordless picture story with a graphic novel/comic book layout. Filled with fairy tale and nursery rhyme references, this fractured Red Riding Hood parody features a cat who really want's Grandma's cake.
Great for kids to develop storytelling skills based on the illustrations and their familiarity with the source material.

Loved the endpapers with local news (“utensils eloped”)
Such clever store names: “soup today: stone” and back matter to help remember the rhymes.

I received an eARC courtesy of Clarion Books via Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review.
A wordless retelling that will have kids pouring over the illustrations to hunt for familiar
faces.
