Third book by Chris Carter, and I'm still amazed with his writing style. As always, the plot and characters are well written. I love seeing how the partnership between Detective Hunter and Gracia getting more personal. The crimes are as always damn *chef kiss* gory.

Definitely recommended to those who enjoy reading psychological thriller books. But! Before reading, do search up on the trigger warnings.

There are trigger warnings you need to be aware of, if you decide to read this fabulous book. There is talk of: bullying, rape, incest, physical and mental abuse.

This was just as good as the first, if not better. Bodies piling up. Detectives Hunter and Garcia have never seen anything like these killings before. The killer has spent a lot of time figuring out what these victims are scared to death of, and the way he kills them is unimaginable (at least to me).

I liked the fact that there was a red herring. It kept my interest. Plus, there was good character development, which is always a plus when reading a series. Also, it was interesting because I couldn't figure out who the killer(s) were. I was surprised by the reveal.

I recommend this series, if you like Serial Killers, Suspense, Thrillers, Police Procedurals or mysteries.

😊 Happy Reading 🙃

This was a fantastic book! The murders were very descriptively described. It’s more intense then the first book, and even it being a lengthy book I finished it in 2 days. Absolutely gripping serial killer mystery and the characters are well written.

I love that the author is well educated in psychology and criminal behavior which makes the dialogue more believable when it comes to police procedures and criminal thinking/intent.

If you’re a fan of gruesome murders and mystery, this series is for you.

I was expecting to finish reading this book tomorrow, but after reading my readalong chapters for today I couldn’t put the book down.

Unfortunately I had to rate this book a 3⭐️ as it had animal cruelty and pedofiler in it. The animal cruelty was detailed and me being an animal lover just couldn’t get the scene out of my head. The pedofiler wasn’t detailed but from what you read you could of guess what happened, especially what the person thought.

However, the crimes itself were gruesome and I enjoyed the investigation. It kept me guessing who the killer was as there was multiple people who could of been the killer.
Robert and Garcia make me laugh so much with her friendship, and especially how Robert is with his lovers. Apart from what I mentioned above I throughly enjoyed the book and can’t wait to carry on the series x
