I adored her essay / letter to the health insurance system. This is such a good book, and I think it's sadly beyond my capacity to handle. There's just a lot of things in it that hit my personal traumas. I tried skipping chapters, tried powering through, and finally accepted that it would be kinder to my mental health to not read this particular book on mental health. I lau hed aloud at many points, though, and I can think of half a dozen people who would love this and not have the same issues with it that I did.

Slightly hard to follow as the author jumps from subject to subject and tangent to tangent in a frantic manner that only someone with ADHD and mental health issues can. Still enjoyable and highly relatable. Highly recommend to others.

This book was harder to read than her first two books.

Some chapters were quick while others rambled on.

There were less funny stories overall though I did laugh out loud a handful of times.

I’m looking forward to her next work - she never disappoints.

This book is the author telling a bunch of her life stories. She rambles a lot in a comedic sort of way. Some chapters were narrowly focused on the struggles faced as a result of physical and mental illnesses. Others seemed loosey goosey and random. I listened when I needed a laugh. This was the type of book that I could only listen to a chapter at a time due to the “rambling”. It was funny though. Some parts were sad and darker though. There were nice uplifting tidbits mixed in with the rambles.

I think chapter 9: letter to my insurance company was my favorite. It is relatable to the struggles we face.

This book had me laughing out loud during the comedic chapters and sympathizing with Jenny’s struggles with mental health.
