If I was younger i'd be so down bad for Nathaniel lmao.
Very loveable characters (Silas I love you)
The magic system was way too cool to be used in a standalone.

Worth the try. It has the potential to become your favorite fantasy novel. The characters are so lovable and interesting. Elisabeth, an apprentice of the great library of Summershall, is the strong, young girl, who was framed for a crime she didn't commit and had to find help in the young sorcerer, Nathaniel Thorn. The youngest magister and the heir of one of the oldest and the most powerful sorcerer families, Nathaniel is scarred by his past. The show-stealer of the book is Silas, a demon sworn to serve Nathaniel. Despite being a demon, he is kind to Elisabeth and Nathaniel and cares for them a lot. Anyone who reads the book will love him, just as I did. As the story continues, they discover secrets and conspiracies, which makes them fight against all the evils to save the world, but at a cost.
I found the beginning a bit boring, but as I kept reading, I found myself engrossed in the story. The romance was slow-paced and shy. Nathaniel and Elisabeth had an interestingly funny relationship which, is one of the reasons why you should try this book.
