Weird and dark cautionary tale. Interesting to look at, but somewhat unsatisfying.

Beautiful drawings. At first I didn't really get the tone but by the end was engrossed.

Refreshingly different
I love the art, and the feel of Percy's bizarre and melancholy world, and the dialogue is chock-full of quotable gems - I'm almost sorry to have read a dead-tree edition that I can't easily click'n'share from.
For those who have questioned the author's message, I'm not sure there needs to be one. Someone described this book as "Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland meets Terry Gilliam's Brazil" and that's a pretty good description of what I got from it.
Very highly recommended.

review haiku!
intriguing premise,
artwork reels in shaking head.
still. this is weird stuff.
i don't have many words for this graphic novel. but the last line is killer: in the business of caution... we are unprepared for happiness.

A very unique and curious book. It almost doesn't seem like a coherent story as you read it, but it was a very poignant experience, I realized, as the book came to a conclusion. And actually a pretty powerful message that sneaks up on you.
