3 ½ stars rounded down.

Freedom finishes off the slavery in the Summer Realm story arc for Arin, including a cute HFN for Gareth and Beth.
SpoilerIt concludes with an epilogue open ending to allow for future installments with the next character featured. It's really hard to keep those necromancers down.

There's plenty more unicorn shenanigans and the addition of a "dirty" old lady in this installment to keep the comedic value high and balance out some of the sweet and angst from the couple. As with Leander and Taylor's story arc, the 4th installment of this one isn't as strong as the first 3, but it's still plenty enjoyable to read and a pleasant way to spend a few hours. It's hard to go wrong with this series from Archer.

A fitting conclusion to an already strong series.

Love Beth

Ok love the characters. Great story. Plenty of angst and action. But to still not have this story wrapped up by now? Just seems really drawn out with no final conclusion.

I really wanted to love this series.......

I just didn't. I forced myself to read these and I really need to learn how to DNF books. I hate leaving bad reviews for books and I think I've left a bad review for most of the installments. :( My now ex friends failed to tell me this was a serial series, had different main characters as the books progresses, and told me this series was finished. This series is not finished and from everything left open there's probably still a lot to come....I will not be continuing. This series does have a lot of promise and I think with all the glowing reviews most people will end up liking it overall, I just can't deal with yet more new character leads in the next few installments while the original hasn't been touched on since book 4, not the best writing, and the money grub of this being a serial.

This is the end for me.

So I started it not loving Beth and Gareth and ended up really falling for this duo. Though the dead mate back to life thing isn't my favourite it actually makes sense here and I'm looking forward to finding out more. When's the next installment??

4 necromancer bffs out of 5 reincarnations
