Very interesting book! Set in Oxford about a scholar deep into one poet. Because you know that she is a stand-in for Daphne in the Daphne and Apollo myth, you expect the story to be going in an age old direction the entire time…

…but the ending is an attempt to reverse the myth, also still somehow tragic, and introduces the concept of how other people can more willingly submit to the myths ideal of romantic love.
