Quite slow to start just seeing all the characters from the previous book. But half way through I could not put it down, like a soap opera!!

Entertaining, as expected. The plot was almost secondary to the excessive show of riches but that was ok with me. :)

Easy chick lit/ beach read. Starts where the previous book left off. Kitty's story gets better, Astrid's get a worse, Rachel's is both better and worse.

I love this series. I love rich people being rich people and having drama. This one was a good second book. Happy for Nick and Rachel. I could have used more Peik Lin but it makes sense she wasn’t in it more. I enjoyed getting more of Astrid and I liked the new characters introduced. Hoping for more of Kitty in the next one. Can’t wait to read the next book as soon as I get off the waitlist at the library

First things first: I know it's satirical, but the emphasis on things drowns out any other part of this book. At points, this devolves into just listings of brands and things. It began to drag at the midpoint and I wanted more about the characters (and less of the shopping).

While Rachel and her generation are the protagonists, I am more interested in the lives of their parents. I want novels about them!

Finally, I found the conclusion anticlimactic. After all that, Bao Shaoyen sees Rachel in person and is OK because she looks like Carlton? Idk. Very possible but felt like a rushed ending to me.
