If you like Agatha Christie you will like this :) Well written story within a story and thus 2 mysteries to be solved! I didn't score higher because I found the motives for
Magnus Pye's and Alan Taylor's murders to be a little weak.

I loved this, I read this so fast. I found myself just wanting to get to the next clue. I watched the show before this and I still found it satisfying, I have to say I think I like the book more (it made me realize how much I wasn't paying attention watching the show). I usually read Classics, so this was a breeze to read, I did find the end of the book dragged on a little and I found all the excerpts from other books a little confusing. But props to Horowitz for being able to have a distinct voice for Allen and Susan.

The murderers didn't make an abundance of sense, and seemed shoehorn in. It felt like the author preferred shocking the reader over allowing us to solve the mysteries based on the clues laid before us.

What a fantastic read! Absolutely loved how the stories were interlinked and how we got to view the writing world from the perspective of a rather jaded author. The murder mysteries were so cleverly written and I’ve been thinking about this for days even after I’ve finished reading it. Highly highly recommend and was glued to this book.
