This is a fascinating novel bringing to life a pivotal point for modern astronomy. The lives of Johannes Kepler and Galileo Galilei are portrayed as very much subject to the religion and policies of the time. It is clear how heavy an influence these cast and makes their determination seem so much more heroic.
