Carson is an alpha male Fox shifter and he has slowly built himself an empire at the docks. That is all except the chunk owned by Mansfield Shipping. He wants that land badly as by nature he is territorial and doesn't want to share!!

He has been driven mad by the rebuffs he keeps getting to his offers to the shipping company for the land. He just wants the land, he will offer them a lease to keep their business there. And he finally has a meeting with Frank (the Man) Mansfield... or does he????

Francesca (Frank the Man) finally a meeting with Carson but when he didn't do his research and realise that Francesca was the new CEO, having taken over from her father, he blew his chance!! However he manages to convince her to give him a shot over dinner and when she unusually takes him home with her he realizes that the smell that dew him to her is because she is his fated mated.

He and Frankie rapidly fall into a relationship but he doesn't tell her what he is. When Frankie finds out she thinks he only wanted her for her land. She lets him know that she knows his secret and asks to be changed. When he arranges it things don't go quite to plan due to the dirty dealings of a ruthless enemy with a centuries old grudge!!!

The action and romance is nicely paced over the 3 parts of the book and the love story evolves with the obligatory misunderstandings and reunions. The bad guy I did not see coming!! I loved that Francesca was a ballbuster at work but so unsure of herself when it came to romance. Carson is lovable as the alpha fox who looks shiny things but is hard pressed to express himself to his mate. Fabulous story by a new author to me!

I received a copy for an honest review.
