This one was still fun but also sort of meh. I liked that Cade doesn't try to fix Holly's OCD issues and works with her instead. However, he spends the whole book lying to her. I'll admit he has REASONS and he tries to give her the tools to get out of the situation on her own, without his help, but it's still not my favorite type of plot line.

I really loved this book. MCs had great chemistry, the plot line was interesting and made sense, the side characters are fun and I just really love their world, the world of The Lore. All the fun creatures showing up and mixing together.
I like both Holly & Cadeon a lot; Cade made me laugh out loud several times. He's going to be a tough MMC to follow but I have hope that this means there are more giggles to be had in the next Immortals After Dark books. Not much else to say but I do highly recommend this book, even if you opt out of the full series!

Damn, I am desperate for some mindless trash, and this is going to do just fine.
UPDATE: Yep, more of the same. Not my fave in the series, but I will say this for them....THEY ARE CONSISTENT. It's like the same story, over and over. Thank goodness I enjoy it. :)

I love that Cade made all these consessions for Holly's ocd without ever making her feel like she was too much or ridiculous. It really just heals a part of me that even with the ribbing and teasing, it was never about anything she couldn't control. Things she's self conscious about, he praises. It's just a really sweet thing. We could all use a Cade. And ofc, it's not our car is literally the funniest damn moment.
