A very furry romance. The connection between them is undeniable and shows just how much a mate will do in order to keep their person around in any compacity. Lovely HEA, but not one where I'm needing to rush to the second book.

Smutty, smutty, filthy lesbian shifter erotica. We open with a short masturbation scene almost immediately, and from then the sex scenes just come more frequently and with consistently greater depths of depravity.
For pure erotica this is a fantastic book. For someone’s best attempt at writing an action-adventure lesbian shifter romance this isn’t such a great book. Seriously I couldn’t careless about the characters of this story and I couldn’t be paid to care about their happily ever afters either. Shit plot, shit characters, and shit story development, some seriously great sex scenes though.

I couldn’t do it, y’all…
This started okay enough, not horrible but not great, and then it devolved into a bunch of nothing. Don’t get me wrong. I love me some smut for the sake of smut, but this kept trying to add tension by reminding us of the fact that the two main characters were stranded at sea…and I couldn’t do it. It was boring.
On top of that, it felt wrong to read a romance by a Black author without any Black characters 😩
EVEN WORSE, the author kept using the phrase “forbidden hole” and making ME want to crawl into a hole never to be seen again. I never want to see that phrase again 💀
Anyway. I’m trying to stop myself from continuing books just to see if they get better. I need to get back to my merciless groove of DNFing books without a care in the world if they’re not working for me.
