A really well told account of some pretty harrowing events. The prose is very evocative.

The pressure Jeanette had to grow up with was insane and terrible, add on the fact that she had to do it in the public eye as a child actress, it’s horrific. What an incredibly vulnerable and moving book.

One of the best memoirs I’ve read, hits home with me on a lot of personal points. Gives insight to the entertainment industry like never before. An in-depth dive on the path of a child actor. Truly a captivating read!

A clear look on the darkness that Jennette McCurdy faced/faces in her life. This is a hard read, but a good one to have out there.

I watched iCarly and Sam & Cat when I was younger and seeing this book written by Jennette McCurdy really surprised me, because I had no idea of her real life. I found her story captivating, intriguing, inspiring, funny, deep, and so much more. I definitely think parts of her story will resonate with me.
