Sheer visual brilliance. The panels carry all the emotional weight of the story, each one just as beautiful and vast as the last. The story follows the eco system of a rotting whale carcass on an alien planet and the creatures and civilizations that interact with it. I’d have to read it again to try and pick apart it’s intricacies, but the sheer spectacle of it all captivated me from me page one.

This book has NO RIGHT to be this gorgeous!!!! Like damn, just the physical copy of the book, with it’s gold embossed covers and full color pages, made it too beautiful to handle. And on top of that, the art style! Ah, I borrowed this from a friend but my bookshelf will NOT be complete without me getting a copy of this!!

I really like the artwork and color schemes used. The plot (??) confused me a bit, but I feel it’s meant to be up for interpretation and not necessarily traditionally structured. Very interesting concepts and environmental designs.
