For starters, I am not what one would call a Christian. I'm not sure where my faith lies. I like to think more spiritually. But, for a project I'm doing (reading books I'm gifting others for Christmas - I do see the irony here) I, obviously, read this one.

And I must say, I really enjoyed it! I underlined a few things, I got goosebumps a few times, and it actually made me think of some of the disappointments in my life and how (thus far) the ones I've experienced have led me to great happiness in the long run.

The "evidence" she provided was great on a research-basis-level (if that means anything). What I mean to say is, you didn't have to take her word for it, she provided the citing for each claim she made about scriptures in the bible. It's nice to see "factual" evidence instead of opinion-based biases from a Christian writer. Does that even make sense?

There are still some questions I could ask that could forever go unanswered, or unproved, but that's not why I got this book and so I will not.

It went above and beyond what I was hoping it would and I believe the person I am gifting it to will find great inspiration from it.
