I really enjoyed the book and its narrators !
The story was interesting and kept me going and I said that as someone who isn't a fan of paranormal. The characters were loveable and interesting but there wasn't a lot development expect for Anora (not too much compared to other).
Some plot twists were very predictable but still I enjoyed them because it was well executed and led to other twists.
Overall it was a really good and I would read the next one

When Stars Come Out is Scarlett's baby book that she just revamped and I loved it! It is upper YA, and I say upper mainly because of the serious topics discussed, such as death/suicide. Please read her trigger warnings, she does list chapters. I read the arc and while serious topics are talked about I really loved it! Anora is very genuine, strong MC with a huge secret and just wants to be a normal high school student. I don't want to spoil anything for you because not knowing was part of what I loved about this one. It is dual POV, contemporary setting, and a mythology retelling. I would say the romantic part of the story is there but it is not in the forefront of the story. Overall it was very wholesome and I am excited for people to dive into this!!!

When Anora is uprooted from New York to Oklahoma to escape a dangerous secret, she hopes to find a fresh start at Nacoma Knights Academy. Instead, she finds ghosts of suicide victims, online bullying through an anonymous app, and more secrets that threaten to overwhelm her and the new friends she tries desperately to fit in with. Past lives, trapped souls and forbidden love flavor this YA novel from best selling author Scarlett St. Clair, and while it lacks the language and content of her adult novels, it will still keep you flipping through chapters to find out more about the mythos of this dark world!
