While I am glad they finished and published this to conclude the series, I am not sure the plot for this particular book quite works. I think I know what it was supposed to be doing, but the balance of historical attitudes and modern sensibilities never quite land properly in the POV characters.
Recommended for fans of the series, but it really wouldn't work on its own.
