Nothing really new or highly provocative to me but obviously I already agree with almost all her arguments. I found them sometimes a little bit repetitive, some parts were literally word by word copies, and at certain points I felt like counter arguments were omitted entirely, which doesn't help if you want to persuade people. For example, the author seems to think that only men prefer sex without condoms, although some women don't like the feel either and therefore only have the option to ask their male partner for a vasectomy, use the pull out method or take contraception into their own hands. I fear that the author would reply that these women are simply indoctrinated by patriarchy to think they don't like condoms.

i think this book does a good job reframing the conversations around abortion/pregnancy to put the responsibility on people with penis’. however, i really feel that this book is just a starting place that should be expanded upon with more scientific research (and in-text citations instead of just a link lol), and to include people of color, queer and trans people, non monogamous people, and anyone else beyond the white cis-het pov this book is written from. still an interesting and informative read !

EVERYONE should read this, regardless of gender. This book outlines astoundingly important facts about sex, unwanted pregnancies, birth control, childbirth, and abortions. Every argument is backed up with scientific data and research. This should be a required addition to the teachings of sexual and reproductive education in schools. SUCH AN ESSENTIAL READ!
