I thought I liked The Herbwitch’s Apprentice a LOT. But then I picked up this book, and my love for Ireen Chau’s books skyrocketed.

I enjoyed the premise of this book more than The Herbwitch’s Apprentice, but the writing is still the same—beautiful, exciting, and enchanting. Indie authors are finally getting the recognition and praise they deserve.

Narcissa is (shockingly) a lovable character. I hated her in the first book, but her character is completely different when we see her point of view. And Prince Bennet

Here, you follow the daughter of the villain from the first book ! And my oh my, did it not disappoint. The cozy witchy vibes were there, the character development was there and you even had talking cats ! ✨️✨️✨️ I loved this book just as much as the first if not more !

The illustrations were, once again, so beautiful (omg, the last picture at the end tugged at my heartstrings in such a good way) !
