A great escape! Read this on the subway but felt like I was in the English countryside.

It's a nice story, quite entertaining and romantic. The antiques thing only adds to the romance. However, I thought it was predictable.. No unexpected twists. Nonetheless, as I do with many books, I couldn't stop the movie that was playing in my head and which actors would be in it. Any ideas? :) It would be a nice Sunday afternoon movie, especially for those rainy days.

Whenever I'm stuck, or cannot take all the 'excitements' (of other books/genre), I always look for one of Katie Fforde's books. They have soothing effects for me. She has many, and as still actively writing, so l'm not worried about running out of hers haha.

Katie Fforde's books usually take on a theme, and this one is about antiques dealers. So there you go. Now I know a little bit more about antiques world and how a PR worked, as the case should be.

What I loves most about Ms Fforde's books, is her positive, cheery and most importantly, courteous characters.

This is another fun Katie Fforde romance book - fluffy, familiar, fun.  You'll recognize some typical Fforde plot elements from other books: a woman facing a job transition, the rehabilitation and/or saving of an old building, a gruff male love interest, a supportive but occupied friend/sister, a financial challenge, a slow burn romance that has a sudden stop before a quick wrap-up near the end.  This one was compelling enough that I stayed up reading before bed for about 1.5 hours, but it wasn't my favorite of hers by far.
