This is a good thriller that plays on that idea of “you never know the person you married until after the wedding.” The plot is well structured, entertaining, and made time pass quickly.

Non-plot-specific spoilers below (but skip if you like to start a book knowing absolutely zero)————
If you read a lot of thrillers (like I apparently do these days??), you might want to know the following info:
- not sexually graphic or explicit
- no four-letter words
- no physical beating or sexual abuse
- first person, reliable narrator (yesss I was so worried the narrator would be unreliable and I hate when that happens)
- happy ending

I know how hard it is to find a thriller with the above characteristics—a “happy” thriller—so I wanted to tip you off if you are searching for a certain type.

Ugh, this is awful. It's one note, no real change in tone throughout, so it's one long desperate monologue without any character development or reason to care about or believe in the protagonist. Notwithstanding its 300-page length, the type is large and the margins are wide so it's really more of a novella which is appropriate for the plot. Don't waste your money and certainly do not buy this in hardcover. The quality of the paper is so poor that it seems like a deliberate comment by the publisher.

It’s been a long time since I finish a book in less than a day.
It’s been a long time since a read is so excruciatingly painful that I feel like my body aches.
It’s been a long time I read a book which increases my pulse rate.
It’s been so long that I’ve chewed up my nails to skin as I was trying to process the twists, trying to think through how it’s going to end.

I don’t think I’ll be able to explain how good this read was than this.
Paris has marvelled at building the characters, plots, tension.
It started with such good note that for a time I was thinking “ I must have mistakenly picked up a romantic novel instead of a thriller“. But thought “okay, I don’t hate romance, I can give it a try”
Boy, I was so wrong. When the 1st twist took place and everything went dark, I started having this little pangs of pain. I din’t realise when it morphed into excruciating pain.
Then for some time after I thought maybe just may be it’s a story of changing a monster into ANGEL.
At every chance with grace I jumped in hope that may be this is it, may be she is the knight in shining armour who will save the day.
I was astonished when it came from Molly and now after I read it, I feel like that’s probably the most natural thing, who understands grace better than her. She had to struck the 1st string.
Well, I don’t have words to describe the final twist. It’s so well written, so well thought of, it just left me in awe.

Paris, please count me in your fan zone.
