The plot of the book is 5/5. It had such great potential to be a horrifying psychological thriller. 

Unfortunately, the writing was too…. Obvious? Cheesy? The writing just didn’t land for me - it made it seem like a low budget scary movie.

One of the best books I've ever read. Definitely gonna buy it, one of my favorites!! Like read it!!! I promise you will not regret it! I even have the last bit of dialogue from this book memorized because it's so good and I recommend it to everyone I know.

It's a DV victim trying to outwit her 'jailer'. That's about it. I was intrigued by the caption but about 40% into the book I was like... oh. This is the whole book. So I sped the audio up to finish faster. I should've read more about it, the trigger warnings and what not... that's on me lol. It just has such good reviews! but so I yeah, won't recommend to others.

I will say though, I loved the ending. And the doggo gets avenged. 😉
