I tried. But but by the end of chapter 13 I realized, I just didn't care. I couldn't tell you the names of the characters once I closed the book and only really recalled a vague sense of what had happened in those 13 chapters.
There were a couple spots where I liked the dialog or descriptions, but that was not enough to keep me going.
I'm sure he's a good writer, but I'm glad I received this book as a giveaway and did not pay for it.

3.5 I had a hard time trying to decide how to rate this book. At the end, I liked the book and the writing was good but it was pretty slow, not boring but just didn't seem to have a plot until about half way through. I will say the writing reminded me of Richard Russo with a mystery/thriller ending.
